We got some goodie oldies in too!

We didn’t get ONLY new books. Here are some of the restocks that we have been waiting for.
Restocks that you should read.
Blood Price by Tanya Huff
Restock’s a tricky concept for this particular book… It’s actually been out for ages, and it’s just now being reprinted because they’ve picked it up for a tv series in the US (I think it is the US…). It’s cool for many reasons.
One is that the vampire writes romance novels *coughbodiceripperscough* for a living. The other is that Huff had this entire series *long* before the current plague of vampires that are fluttering around. And just because it is a damned enjoyable read. We’ve got the 5 books back in, and if you’re looking for good paranormal, this is an option that we’d recommend.
Old Man’s War by John Scalzi
If you haven’t noticed yet, we really love John Scalzi over here… This is his first published book, and was also the book that got us hooked on him. Don’t even bother asking why it’s good, we’re too giddily hysterical about the fact that we have it again to give you a proper reason.
Spin by Robert Charles Wilson
This book won the Hugo awards a few years back, and with good reason. It’s a very different sort of sci-fi. Closer to the old school variants of “quiet science fiction” (or so I’ve always thought about them) where the science is a big important part of the book, and more importantly, how it affects the people who are around it.
There are others, these are what immediately came to mind.
